Welcome to the Casebrook Intermediate website.

Here at Casebrook we believe that emerging adolescents are a unique age group and we are committed to meeting their needs.

The pace of technological development means that the future is something we can't begin to envisage. As such, its our job to ensure we provide our students with the knowledge and skills that allow them to think creatively and to teach them problem solving techniques to confidently and effectively meet future challenges.

Our learning environment is supported by a strong focus on values. Through these values we develop within each student a strong sense of self worth and recognise their importance as a member of our Casebrook community. Read more...

  • Casebrook Softball in Action: Take a moment to watch this excellent video of our Casebrook Softball team in action at the recent Summer tournament at Hagely Park. 

  • Christchurch StANDs tall peoples choice award for schools giraffes: We need you help to win this competition!
    The winning Giraffe will receive 50 litres of paint for their school, delivered by two members of the Crusaders team so certainly a prize worth winning! 
    Heres how to vote for Casebrook:
    Simply visit the Dulux New Zealand Facebook page: www.facebook.com/DuluxNewZealand
    Look for the ‘Christchurch Stands Tall Giraffe Gallery’ by clicking photos > album > ‘Christchurch Stands Tall Giraffe Gallery’.
    There you will find images from the 48 different schools that have painted a miniature Giraffe sculpture. Place a vote by liking the image of our schools Giraffe, Casebrook Intermediate Giraffe - CaseSavannah. It’s as easy as that. And don’t forget to encourage others to vote.

  • Homestays Wanted
    We are currently updating our list of homestay families and are looking for caring families who may be interested in hosting an International Student. If you are interested in hosting a student, either on a short term or long term basis please email the School Office (office@casebrook.school.nz) with your name and contact details.
  • Creativity and Performance Plus 2014: A huge thank you to all in our community who came to support our amazing students and teachers during Creativity and Performance Plus this term.
  • Casebrook Speech Success: Congratulations to Hannah Lemon (Rm 13). Her speech was judged the best of the best young speakers at the Christchurch Intermediate School speech competition held at Christchurch South Intermediate on Wednesday evening. Hannah's speech was on 'Kicking out Bullies'.   Emily Jameson (Rm 5) also deserves a special mention for her excellent speech about Gender Inequality. Great Casebrook REPs!
     
  • Casebrook Chefing Success: Take a moment to watch our star chefs, Hannah and Sydnee from Room 6, cooking on CTV.
  • Casebrook Rotary Award Winners: Ethan Howse (Rm6) and Jessica Inglis (Rm 12) were recently awarded the Burnside Rotary Clubs 'ON A ROLL' award which recognised their contribution to our Casebrook community as steady, diligent, hardworking students.  Ethan and Jessica are excellent role-models for their peers. Congratulations!

  • Art Extension Success! A huge congratulations to Mrs Austin our Art teacher and her team of art extension students who have been working for many hours on their giraffe as part of The Christchurch Stands Tall project. An amazing effort.
