Kapa Haka and Kai evening, a great success.

Thank you to the families and whānau who joined us last Thursday to celebrate with our Kapa Haka and Pasifika groups. The groups performed and shared what they have learnt. The evening was enjoyed by all.

Tonight there is a 'Dance Party' in the hall.  Pre purchased tickets would have gone home with your child today or there are door sales.  Your child will be ready to be collected at 9:00pm when the music finishes.

We are very pleased with our refurbished learning spaces, Rooms 5-8 and the Library.  The Library is being renamed Te Puna Waro.  Waro is the name of a spring at the top of Cavendish Road and so Te Puna Waro is a metaphor for, ' The Spring of Knowledge.'  On Thursday 21 we invite all community members to join us from 1:45pm to 2:45pm to see the learning spaces in action and for a cup of tea or coffee.

On Tuesday June 26 all teaching staff have been called to a paid union meeting. We will finish school at 12:45pm and would appreciate you making arrangements for your child.  There will be staff at school to supervise any students who need to remain here.  If you would like your child to be supervised please complete the enclosed form and return to the school office.

Please note that we start Term Three with Student Led Conferences on the first Wednesday and Thursday nights and then have Open Night on the following Wednesday, August 1.  A busy start to the term.

If you ever have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact myself or your child's teacher.
