On Wednesday the 13th of June 2018 Hailee, Makalah, Evie, Maia, Olivia, Chloe, Emma and Amber went to the Primary Sports Canterbury gymnastics competition. The competition was at the Christchurch School of Gymnastics at QEII.

Chloe (Year 7) came 1st overall in her grade. She also came 1st in floor and 2nd in bar. She said that it was a really fun experience because she liked being with her friends and all the joy and excitement. Chloe said that she would definitely do it again because it was a positive experience. Her favourite part about competing was putting all the moves together and remembering them all. Chloe was very proud of her achievements and she was very, very surprised.

Olivia (also Year 7) came 1st on floor with a perfect score of 10 and her group placed 3rd. Floor also happens to be her favourite apparatus. Olivia was most worried about failing so she was really surprised when she got such a great score, she did not think she was that good at gymnastics!

All the girls had a lot of fun and were really proud of themselves.
