The Open Night

On Wednesday the 1st of August Casebrook held our annual open night. We caught up with Hekeawi McDermott (head boy) and Mr Leith to see how they thought it went.

Hekeawi

How did it go?

  • A: Great.

Did It run smoothly?

  • A: It went amazing!

Did the helpers do good?

  • A: Yes they did.

Estimate how many people came?

  • A: About 500.

Whose speeches went well?

  • A: Everyone's!

Estimate how many people helped?

  • A: 100.

What did you help with?

  • A: Speaking, rock band, tours and kapa haka.

What did Lauren (head girl) help with?

  • A: Speaking and specialist dance.

What teachers helped?

  • A: All of them!

 What did you help with on open night.

  • A: Organised the whole thing.

Was it successful? Why/why not?

  • A: Yes lots of people saw a great school

How did the speeches go? 

  • A:  Exceptional 

What rooms were most popular? 

  • A: The Tech rooms and Te Puna Waro

Did you like the free food?

  • A: The people like the food but I did not have any.                           

Did you make a speech, if so did it go well? 

  • A: Helped head students.

Can you estimate how many people attended? 

  • A: 500 to 600 people

Did many parents seem interested?

  • A: All of them seemed interested.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the open night successful. It was great to see lots of potential students come through on the night and to hear lots of positive feedback about our school.
