Water Polo Teams travel to Dunedin to compete in the South Island Tournament.

We wish our A & B Water Polo Teams all the very best for this weekend.  They have had many successes in our local competition and now face teams from across the South Island - as well a having to play in the dive well of Moana Pool.  (Christchurch has yet to replace such facilities.) Thank you very much to Emily Mordue and Mark Russell who will be travelling with the team, as well as the many parents and families making a long weekend of the competition.

The Education Review Office (ERO) will be visiting Casebrook next week.  The team will include Mrs Marge Wong and Mr Rob Falconer.  We will welcome them to Casebrook with a Mihi Whakatau. This is an informal Powhiri and we invite you to join us at 8.50am on Monday 2nd November in the school hall. They would appreciate the opportunity to meet and talk with members of our community.

During the visit they will look at our programmes of learning and student engagement. We are looking forward to sharing all the successes and opportunities we provide here at Casebrook.

It was a shame Athletics day was postponed but the weather conditions were unsuitable so please be ready to join us on Tuesday November 10.

Tonight we host the Inter-Intermediate speech finals in the school staffroom. All the best to Hannah Lemon and Meg Lancaster who are representing Casebrook.

Our work in the Papanui - Redwood cluster continues as we develop ways of creating a seamless learning pathway for all our students.  To celebrate our work to date, we are having a sporting/performance evening on November 27th at Casebrook.  Schools will have a range of students performing and there will be games on the field.  This is a casual get together where you can bring a picnic, a low deck chair and watch our children perform and take part in the activities. Please mark this date in your calendar. Details are in the body of the newsletter.

We have interviews with 2016 parents and students later in November and so if you know of families that have still to enrol please encourage them to do so.

Thank you for your on going support.  As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards
