In the second week of Term 4, 21 of our Year 7 Casebrook role models attended the Inspire Him Seminar.
These boys were chosen for their outstanding academic and sporting achievements. This conference was held at the Cathedral Grammar School with three inspirational speakers talking about their life stories.
Featuring Jason Gunn, Nick Ritchie and Mike King, the boys really enjoyed their time listening to the great stories from these local legends. Baxter Robinson-Kennard from Room 12 stated “We had a great time meeting these famous people and hearing Mike King’s hilarious jokes”!
Some of the advice the boys took from their experience was, ‘alcohol and drugs is a lid for your boiling pot of problems’, and also ‘believe in yourself no matter what’. Overall these young leaders had a fabulous time and took away great advice for their future life.
A lucky Casebrook student named Jonty Sommerville from Room 1 won an hour ride with eight other people of his choice, in a luxurious limousine, by a draw out of 150 students from eight different schools.
