National Kart Sprint Championship

Over Easter weekend I travelled to Hamilton to compete in the National Kart Sprint Championships.

I raced in the Vortex Mini ROK class for children from 9 to 13 years of age. The class is named after the motor we use in the karts, it is a single piston 60cc engine capable of reaching a max rpm of 14,000. It was my first time racing in the North Island. There was a field of 28 karts. It was very tough racing with some very experienced drivers.
