Amazing Garden Creation

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Tuesday March 15, 2016

For the first six weeks of this term our specialist teachers worked with students to create this amazing garden.  The research behind the garden focused on the need to preserve water resulting in the development of a hydroponic unit.  This can be seen in the front entrance of the office. Thank you to students and staff for your efforts, you can be very proud of what you achieved.  Thank you also to all who visited the show.

This week Mrs Mary Bowie passed away after a long battle with cancer.  Mary worked at Casebrook for many years in a variety of roles and had a positive lasting influence on many students. She was an incredibly positive and accommodating  person who will be sadly missed by all.  Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

The swimming sports were a great success.  Well done to all our students who took part.  Thank you to Charlotte Gardner for her organisation, a great effort and thank you to those who were able to support us at the pool. There was a great turn out of parents and whanau.

On Friday we have three Japanese students arriving from Kamaishi and they will be experiencing life in a Casebrook classroom for the week.

The full school timetable is now operating.  We appreciate there are clashes with some activities but are doing our best to sort this out.  The numbers of students seeking involvement has been outstanding.  Thank you for encouraging your child to participate.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards
