This week Year 6 representatives from our cluster schools gathered in the Casebrook School Hall and along with our Year 7 leaders discussed the transition from Year 6 to Year 7. They looked at the systems in place and commented on their effectiveness.
This process is extremely valuable to us as it provides us with relevant and current feedback on how the students view the move to Casebrook. It also allows for many of the Year 6 students questions to be answered. This is just the first step in working with our 2017 Year 7's. Next week we host them for a morning and in that time provide them with a taster of some of our specialist programmes. Parents are very welcome to join these sessions.
Year 8's were hosted by Papanui High School and held a similar forum where they discussed the move from Casebrook to High School.
Tonight is our Dance Party. This event is organised by the PTA and supported by the staff. Please be in the foyer at 9.00pm to collect your child.
Next Thursday night is the "On Our Way Performance." This is the first real performance evening of the year and the first time on stage for many students. This is an important event because as the year progresses our groups are frequently called on to perform in a range of venues. Information on ticket purchases can be found later in the newsletter. Thank you very much to those who already have a ticket.
Congratulations to the students who made up the Casebrook Spelling Teams that competed in the Inter-Intermediate competition. A great effort.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
