Tēnā Koutou Kātoa - SpecTechular was a great display of the amazing and diverse activities our students engage in.

Thank you and congratulations to all our specialist and technology staff for creating an evening of displays and hands on activities. Many people commented on how knowledgeable and passionate our students were.

This week we had a group take part in the Canterbury AIMS Triathlon.  All can be proud of their performance and we thank Mr Tom Straker for organising the team.

Room 5 spent today at New Brighton Beach collecting rubbish thus preventing it from entering the ocean.  This was the result of a class inquiry that focused on 'Our Environment'.

Tonight is the Tōtaranui Kaihui Ako Cultural Festival.  It is to be held on the Casebrook front field and will have performances from all of our seven schools along with a BBQ and range of food options.  The weather forecast is predicting the perfect evening for a picnic and so we encourage you to join us.  All of the community is welcome.

Tomorrow, in our school hall we are hosting a Science Road Show that has an entry fee of $7.  If your child has yet to purchase a ticket I encourage you to do so as it is a very worth while event.

The Hanmer 'Big Day Out' is fast approaching.  It is a whole school event that celebrates the achievements across the year. Thank you to those who have purchased their ticket, if there are any issues with this we may be able to help.

The remaining weeks of term are incredible busy and so I thank you in advance for your support and look forward to seeing you at the Year 7 or 8 Celebration Assemblies.  To the final Prize Giving we only invite Year 8 students and their whānau.  This is due to the size of the hall.  Prior to the evening you will be notified if your child is receiving an award.  We do expect all Year 8 students to attend as it is the last formal occasion that marks the end of their time here at Casebrook.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
