We were very fortunate to be able to host the yearly social competition this year and it proved to be a positive and intense day of engaging minds!

On behalf of the Casebrook community, the Interschool Chess Charitable Trust Board and all the players it has been a pleasure to host this competition. Thank you to everyone for supporting the social competition and taking part in something that is very special and so long running.

We all enjoyed ourselves and learnt something new. It was wonderful to see so many students in one place. A big thanks for how well everyone played, your fantastic chess manners, the respect shown to your opponents, officials and all the organisers. Jacinta made special note of the great chess manners and good sportsmanship witnessed at this friendly event -  'you guys were brilliant and a real credit to your schools'.

Thank you again to Jacinta for organising the games and a special thanks to Christine Gillard for putting on a lovely morning tea for all the players.

Chess at Casebrook continues to become increasingly popular and we are going to be purchasing some clocks to sharpen our competitive game skills. There is always room for more students to join up so please encourage your friends and family to come along and play.
