Tēnā Koutou Kātoa - As the end of 2019 approaches I wish to take the opportunity to thank you all for your amazing support. It has been another busy, but very successful year.

When we reflect back to February we are always amazed at what our young people have been involved in and what they have achieved. However what is important to celebrate is the confident, assured and thoughtful young people they have become. A glimpse of the developing adult.

Thank you very much to all who attended our Year 7 Prize Giving and Year 8 Celebration assemblies. The celebration and recognition of success and engagement is very important.  We do appreciate however, not everyone will receive a trophy but success is recognised in many different ways throughout the year.

To our Year 8 students and the families that are leaving us: we thank you for being a part of our school community and wish you all the best for a successful future.

Year 7's we look forward to your return and know you will be wonderful examples of Casebrook REP's for our new students.

Tonight is our formal Year 8 Prize Giving and there is an expectation that all Year 8 students attend, dressed in correct school uniform.  They need to be in their classrooms by 6:30pm.  We estimate we should finish around 8:45- 9pm.

Monday is the schools Big Day Out to Hanmer Springs.  The coaches leave here at 8am sharp so please ensure your child is here with appropriate gear.  There will be sunblock available at the pool but please encourage your child to bring their own. We estimate the buses will be back here at 4:30pm but we will send alerts out to keep you informed.

Tuesday night is the Year 8 formal.  Again we encourage all student to attend and you are welcome to come into the hall when you arrive to collect your young person.

This year we farewell Mrs Ange Johns who is moving across to our RTLB service. Ange has taught here in many positions for many years and we wish her all the best with her new venture.

Miss Kerry Aitken is moving on. Thank you Kerry for your great work in the Digi Space.

We thank Mr Dee-Jay Jemmet, Mr Young Lee, Ms Ariana Summers and Mrs Leanne Dendle who have all filled fixed-term positions this year.

Mr Cam Watts has a years leave to travel. All the best Cam.

Mr Tāniora Leys has a years study leave, we look forward to your return and the new knowledge and ideas you will bring.

Again, thank you for your ongoing support.  I wish you all a safe and happy holiday break.
