Hagley Winter Sports

On Tuesday winter sport tournaments kicked off all over Hagley Park. We have 19 teams and over 200 students competing across eight different sports. We caught up with Mr Straker and some students who took part.

What do you love about running Hagley Sport?

Mr Straker: Getting to see over half our school playing some kind of sport 

What surprises you about our Casebrook teams? 

Mr Straker: That they set a good example of showing how to play fair and that sometimes our teams will be the underdogs and come away with the win 

What is the best thing about being part of a Hagley sports team? 

Jayden Potts (Room 5) - Leaving school to play sport 

Daniel McPherson (Room 2) Being about to get out of the classroom and taking part in Physical Education 

Brodie Marshall (Room 2) Getting the opportunity to play other schools, having some competition and the teamwork.
