Last week Casebook’s Open Day visits were held.

This gave Casebrook Intermediate an opportunity to showcase all the things that make Casebook “The School of Opportunity”. We believe the best way to do this is through the students.

Therefore we had a large number of students involved in the visits, their enthusiasm and engagement helped ensure Open Day visits were a great showcase of the learning that takes place here at Casebrook.

Casebrook Sports is now all well underway after the Covid-19 interruptions. There are 19 school teams across eight sports competing at Tuesday Hagley Sports and both the Water Polo and Basketball Competitions are underway.

CAIMS Tournaments and Zone Competitions have also recommenced. Yesterday saw the Hip Hop and Aerobics Competition, next week will see the Cross Country Competition at Halswell Quarry and at the back end of the term the inaugural CAIMS Sports Tournament will take place over three days.

The first of three Ski Days at Mount Hutt took place yesterday. The weather played its part and the students enjoyed a sunny day on the slopes. Thank you to Miss Elizabeth Kennedy for her organisation of these very popular days.

This weekend the Casebrook PTA Quiz will take place. This ever popular event has grown in popularity since its inception. I wish all the teams good luck especially the team known as ‘Rodney Hide's Jacket’. A massive thanks to the Casebrook PTA for their organisation of this event and their ongoing support.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact the classroom teacher or the staff in the office.
