Tēnā Koutou Kātoa - The remainder of Term Three will be a busy time.

The following three weeks are very action-packed for our students and staff, although some activities will be depended on what level Christchurch is in.

During Week nine we have the 'Canterbury Association of Intermediate and Middle Schools' (CAIMS), sports tournament.   This will involve approximately a quarter of our students who will participate in swimming, basketball, hockey, football, netball, sevens, table tennis and badminton. All those involved are aware of the days they are playing and the expected departure and return times.  All will leave from school and return here at the end of the day.  If we remain in Level Two we will be sure to let you know if any sports are affected.

During Week ten, the last week of term, we have our Variety Show on Wednesday and Thursday nights.  All students will perform each night and there will be a selection of performance groups along with every class dance.  All classes have been putting a great deal of effort into their dances and are looking forward to the event.  Tickets will go on sale when we are confident we can have an audience. If we are unable to invite the community we will endeavor to hold small matinee performances for our contributing schools and film the event. For Year 8 students attending Papanui High next year, we are organizing a date change for the information evening but again waiting to see if these events will be possible.

This Friday is the end of what we call Academic Term Two. We divide the school year into three academic terms of our Technology,  Specialist and Inquiry studies.  The hall will be set up with displays of student work and I hope you will have the time to come and have a look at what our young people have achieved.  The hall will be open from 1:45 - 2:50 pm.   Please sign in at the office.

This week we have had Pop Up Street Food Stalls selling their meals at lunchtime.  This has been a great experience for our students as they have had to prepare food for twenty people, not four, serve it and manage money.  All proceeds will be donated to charity.  Thank you to Mrs Dick McCann for organizing and managing the event.

Thank you all very much for your ongoing support during these challenging times.  Our young people are doing very well and making the most of all the opportunities we have on the go.
