The holiday break didn't stop our students from competing in a variety of sports, and doing incredibly well!

Dominic Pulley (Room 1) headed to Wellington to compete in the New Zealand Inter - Regional Schools Cross Country. This event consists of all the top runners from each region competing against one another to claim top glory. Dominic ran a tough race and finished a credible 29th place - that is 29th in the whole country!

He didn't stop there - in the last week of the holidays, Dominic headed to Dunedin to compete in the Secondary Schools Mountain Bike Championships. This was Dominic's first ever individual mountain bike race, and was up against tough competition, competing against high school students. He came in 8th place in the U14 section which is a fantastic result!

Logan Cartwright-Keast (Room 1) was a part of the U13 Canterbury hockey team who came 1st in the country at the recent Hatch Cup Tournament held in Christchurch. This six day tournament was fiercely contested by 24 teams from around the country, and Canterbury was able to pull off a fantastic 3-0 win against North Harbour in the final. Logan scored four goals across the tournament, including a hat-trick during a pool game and a fabulous goal scored in the final. Great to see all the training and hard work pay off - Well Done Logan!
