Weeks of practice, jazz hands, side step claps and grapevines rounded off by the year group dance offs!

On Tuesday the 7th of September, all of the Year 7's piled into the hall getting ready to perform. Each class performed their dance in front of an eager audience.

Every class danced really well but the judge Mr Strong decided that Room 10 took out the win. We interviewed 2 students from Room 10 to get their reaction.

This is Maddie and Kaleb's view on their dance.

What was your favourite part of the dance?

Maddie: “I was in the front row and enjoyed the dance. My favourite part was the girls dance."

Kaleb: "I was in the back row and I kind of enjoyed the dance. My favourite part was either the end or start."

Were you nervous?

Maddie: “I wasn’t nervous because I’m used to being on stage”

Kaleb: "Yes I was nervous because I don't really dance."

What were you thinking when you walked on stage?

Maddie: "I was thinking don’t fall off the stage."

What was your dance based on?

Kaleb: "Our dance was based on a old movie."

Who came up with the actions?

Our class, and Miss Sherwin came up with the dance. The moves weren’t difficult because Miss Sherwin made sure that everyone could do the dance moves.
