Miss Clark’s Clubs in Te Puna Waro

This year Miss Clark is no longer a full-time classroom teacher and is instead the Literacy Engagement Coordinator. She is running multiple clubs and workshops in Te Puna Waro, such as Comic, Literacy and Book Clubs.

Miss Clark loves how different her job is to being in a regular classroom. She is really enjoying having small groups of people, and getting to know lots of people around the school. She loves how everyday is different from the last and that there is always something new for her to do. Her favourite club to teach so far is her Writing Club because she loves the subject and really enjoys using Write That Essay which is a website that teaches different writing skills to students.

We asked Miss Clark why these clubs are held, she answered with, “I wanted some organised activities for students to participate in.” We also asked her if she was going to organize any other clubs for us to take part in, she replied with, “I’m not sure what they would be yet, but there will definitely be more to come!

If anyone would like to enjoy these clubs for themselves, look out in the notices. There’s almost always a club being held. These clubs are a great way to expand your knowledge on reading or writing. This creates many opportunities for everyone to experience.

We think we speak for the whole school when we say we are grateful to have Miss Clark in Te Puna Waro this year. It will make a huge improvement on our school environment and will help the students here at Casebrook.
