Year 8 camps are finished, the Year 7 trek and activity days are completed and we will move into a more settled and regular timetable.

We would like to thank you all for your support with our camps and activity days.

We were generally very lucky to experience warm summer days for these events. Thank you for those of you who have given your time and energy to parent help on these days.

The new school canteen opened on Tuesday much to the delight of the staff and students who work in the canteen. The students and staff will now benefit the return of the full canteen menu. A big thank you to the middle block classrooms for giving up space to house the temporary canteen.

Last Friday a group of students attended a Writer Master Class at Turanga. The students took part in a whole day workshop named "Flash Fiction" with other Christchurch students in Year 7-10.

We are now nearly halfway through Term 1. The Year 7 students have settled in well and the Year 8 students are modelling what it means to be a Casebrook REP. We appreciate the ongoing support we receive from our community, a young person’s education is most successful when the school and home work together so please keep involved.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact the classroom teacher or the staff in the office.
