Please help make Harewood Road safe - CCC submissions close 15th March

Currently Harewood Road is very unsafe for people biking and people walking. The people in this case are anyone in our community that you can imagine (from children through to senior citizens and all people with a wide range of abilities). The plan from Christchurch City Council is to introduce a cycleway along Harewood Road called Wheels to Wings - Papanui ki Waiwhetū. This infrastructure will also introduce a number of safe crossing points for people walking, travelling by wheelchair or other similar transports. Please don’t be mislead by negativity in the media. People should have the right to travel safely. This project is especially important to help people get active and to reduce damage to the environment. It would be really appreciated if people in your team could make a positive submission supporting the Wheels to Wings - Papanui ki Waiwhetū cycleway.
