Te Puna Waro

As the end of the term draws nearer it is time to dig out those overdue library books, I have spoken to a few students who have promised to get them back to school so a gentle nudge to remind them would be fantastic.

*Students involved in Hooked on Books (reading and reviewing a novel) were lucky enough to have a visit from Jeffrey Paparoa Holman, a NZ author last week.  He shared a couple of his books and talked to the students about writing a book review. Hopefully we will be able to print some of their reviews here soon.

Mr Holman very kindly donated two of his poetry books to Te Puna Waro; Fly Boy - celebrating his lifelong fascination with flight. The second book - The Late Great Blackball Bridge Sonnets - tells stories of the wooden road across the river to high school, to league games, to the outside world.
