Millie, Peyton, and Alexa caught up with Jay Tan from Room 16 to find out about his recent badminton achievements.
During the weekend of the 22nd to 23rd of May, Jay Tan competed in the Canterbury Under 15 Badminton Championship. This was held at Wainoni Badminton Hall, just out of New Brighton, where people from all over the South Island attended.
In the U15s grade, there were about 20 competitors including Jay. There was also an U19s grade competing at the same tournament. Jay had a very successful weekend and won all three of his divisions. He earned three medals and three trophies to add to his collection.
