Tēnā Koutou Katoa - We hope you are all drying out.

Our thoughts are with our families who suffered from flooding and the threat of flooding. We were fortunate at school with only a few underwater pathways.

It was good to see many whānau at school to support our students as they took part in the annual cross country.  The level of participation from the students was very pleasing with most viewing it as a challenge that just needed to be completed.  Congratulations to the first finishers who will go on to represent us in the Inter-Intermediate event.  Thank you to Tom Straker and his team for the great organisation.

Hagley Sports starts next week, after being rained off this week, and we have more teams competing than ever before.  It is a great experience for all those involved and those remaining at school are well catered for.

Just a reminder that this Friday is the Tōtaranui Staff Only Day, more commonly referred to as a Teacher Only Day.  Staff from the seven schools in our Kahui Ako choose to attend one site for the day.  Cotswold is focused on Literacy, Casebrook on Behaviour Management and Papanui High School on Cultural Inclusiveness and Awareness.  The day's events will finish at Papanui High where Angus McFarlane will launch his new book.  Thank you for supporting our staff.

We are halfway through the term and have to say we are very proud and pleased with the levels of engagement and enthusiasm our students show in their daily learning. Congratulations must also go to our staff for making this happen.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of us if you have questions or concerns.
