Year 8 Art extension

Transforming a clay cylinder into something of their own.

After many sessions of hard work, they have all been completed and the next stage is in the kiln! Each piece of art is unique and symbolises their imagination.

The students are all excited and nervous about putting their masterpieces into the kiln, as there is a big risk that their pieces could shatter.

“I'm feeling very nervous, because all the effort I've put into it could be thrown out the window in the blink of an eye!” - Kaitlyn Banks, one member of Year 8 art extension, answered this after being asked how she was feeling about the situation.

Overall they are really excited and can't wait for the next step, painting!
