On Friday the 14th of August a group of Casebrook Intermediate students competed in a Chess Tournament at the Christchurch City Town Hall. The competition was tough but they did Casebrook proud.

We caught up with Sheldon and Tyson from Room 11 who went to the Chess tournament. We asked them 7 questions about their experience.

Were you guys nervous or scared?

No, not really.

Who were the people that went in your class?

Sheldon, Tyson, Liam and Luella.

How many chess games did you play?

Sheldon played four and Tyson played three.

Were you happy representing Casebrook at the Chess tournament?

Yes, we were really happy.

What was the best part of the tournament?

Probably playing chess.

Chess is a game of strategic skill, if it sounds like something you are interested in then have a word to Mr Broad for more information.
