Year 7-8 Art Specialist

From an artist's perspective “The earth without art is just eh” The point of this article is to share how the Casebrook students and teachers feel about the art that we make in our SPEC time with Miss Zant and the different perspectives of art that we all see differently. So we hope that this will inform you about the Great Casebrook art of 2022.

The Yr 7’s have been working on a piece of pacific based artwork, and the Yr 8’s have been working on pop-art posters. We would like to thank Miss. Zant, for helping us with this beautiful art, providing art supplies for us, and just being there to teach us amazing art techniques.

We asked them some questions about the art experience:

How do you feel about art?

Answer: I love art because it makes me able to get messy, have fun, and stay creative.

What do you enjoy about art?

Answer: I enjoy the great ideas that everybody shares around so everybody can make amazing custom art.

Are you confident with the art you are producing?

Answer: Yes I am.

How do you define/see success in an artist?

Answer: That it’s good quality art and people compliment on it but also take feedback well. They put time and effort into every piece of art.

How do you feel about art?

Answer: I feel good, it's fun and interesting, mostly because Miss Zant gives us lots of opportunities to express and tell her how we feel about art.

What do you enjoy about art?

Answer: All of it. The use of the colours and learning what colours mix while using different shaded pastels and I just like the art that we do.

Are you confident with the art you are producing?

Answer: Yes I'm confident because Miss Zant and the other students really think that it's really good, and she compliments my work.

How do you define/see success in an artist?

Answer: They are really good at art and compliment your work a lot. They also always try to convince people to be a good artist and what art can become.

Answer: Good as I have a great passion for teaching art.

What do you enjoy about teaching art?

Answer: The wide range of ideas and creativity that my students come up with.

Answer: Yes

How do you define/see success in an artist?

Answer: Passion and effort.
