On Tuesday the 7th of June Renee's Granny Marcia came to Casebrook to teach us how to knit

Marcia organised knitting needles and yarn for every student in the class. That's 29 sets!

First she gave us all a ball of wool and knitting needles each, and then we watched Marcia showing us what to do. She had already started off all of them so it didn’t take a long time learning how to start off.

Once we got the hang of it we were all knitting away on our own! It was super fun learning knitting and some of us had super long ones! Marcia also loves crocheting, which is a hand craft made of yarn turned into something like an animal or an object I asked Marcia some questions:

How long have you been knitting for?

Marcia has been knitting for a whopping 69 years (since she was 11), wow!!

Do you like teaching others to knit?

Yes! She absolutely loves teaching others.

What's your favourite thing to knit?

Marcias favourite thing to knit is toys.

How long do you think you knit a day?

About 5-6 hours a day.
