Student Led Conferences

By Christine Gillard | Posted: Wednesday June 29, 2022

We would like to invite you and your child to meet with the classroom teacher for a conference about their learning to date in 2022. This is an important opportunity for you to listen to your child and their teacher talk about, and show you the learning that has taken place and discuss future steps for learning in Terms Three and Four.

Students will be talking with their parents about their reading, writing and mathematics, as well as topic based learning and wider curriculum involvements at our school. These conferences will be guided by classroom and specialist teachers and there will always be time for parents and teachers to talk too.

Teachers will be available on:

  • Wednesday 27th July from 2.15pm – 8.00pm
  • Thursday 28th July from 2.15pm – 6.00pm

Please note - School will be closing at 2:00pm on both conference days.

Our Specialist teachers would also love the opportunity to meet and talk with you about the learning in their rooms. Hard Materials, Science, Foods, Art, Digi and Learning Support teachers are available to discuss your child’s progress in these areas.

These conferences are held face to face in classrooms and are 15 minutes long. Feedback in our recent review of the Term 1 whānau interviews demonstrated how valuable this is for our community. For those parents who are unable to attend in person we can offer a video conference this can be arranged closer to the time. You can let us know if this will be required when you book your conference. If you can not make either date, please contact your class teacher directly and arrange an alternative date after school. These are important opportunities and connections between home and school that should not be missed.

To avoid congestion parents may park their cars on the driveway or ‘tech court’.
