Hip Hop Competition

On Wednesday 6th of July two hip hop teams went to Hornby High School to compete in the Canterbury AIMS Aerobic and Dance (Funk/Hip Hop) Competition.

Their team names were Case Crew and The Showstoppers. Both teams made Casebrook proud. We interviewed Tava and Maddie and asked them a few questions about their experience.

Q: What was your favourite part of the day?
A: Seeing my friend and cheering everyone on!
A: My favourite part was performing because everyone cheered you on!

Q: Was your team nervous before the performance?
A: I wasn’t but I think that the rest of my team was.

Q: How did you feel when you got 3rd place?
A: I was feeling stoked I felt so happy for my team.

Q: Were you proud of what you achieved?
A: I think that we did a great job!
A: Yes I am so happy of what I achieved.

Q: What were you thinking when you were running on stage?

A: I was really excited to perform!
A: It was a bit nerve racking the stage was a bit bigger than we were expecting.

Q: Was your team happy even though they didn't get a placement?

A: I don’t know about my team but I was happy with what we did.

Q: Were you surprised how well your team did?
A: Yes I'm surprised how well my team did considering that heaps of people were away for practice because of covid.

Q: Were you nervous before your performance?
A: I was not nervous at all I was all pumped up and ready to go.
