Emmy Sandford's Dancing Success!

Emmy recently competed and attended workshops at NZ Dance Made earlier this month!

Budding dancer, Emmy Sandford from Room 16, had recent success while competing at the NZ Dance Made competition earlier this month. 

Emmy won the Year 7 Solo Champ Award for her Lyrical Self Choreography. The following day, she also participated in the workshops and received a golden ticket to attend the Gold Awards later this year. 

The Sandford children have a history of being talented and involved dancers. Emmy credits her older sister, Isla, for being her inspiration. 

Violet from Room 4 caught up with Emmy for a quick Q & A session to find out a bit more about her passion for dance.

Q: What song did you dance to?

A: 'You Can't Stop The Girl'

Q: What is your favourite dance style?

A: Lyrical

Q: What is your favourite dance move?

A: The helicopter cartwheel

Q: Sequins or feathers and why?

A: Sequins because when you're on stage you shimmer.
