Tēnā Koutou Katoa - "On Our Way" performances, an opportunity for many students.

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Wednesday September 7, 2022

Last week we hosted the "On Our Way" performance evening. This is an opportunity for students who have been learning a musical instrument or are a member of a group to perform in front of a live audience, often for the first time. It is a valuable experience as it gives the learning a purpose and the students enjoy sharing their new skills. Thank you to all who came and supported the event.

On Monday during morning tea, our Boys A Basketball team played a team of local police. Our boys team certainly held their own making it a hard fought match. This week we also held or school speech finals, the results of which can be found later in the newsletter.

We have just completed our first round of out of zone placements for 2023.  All those that applied have been accepted.  There are still some vacancies and so the next round will close on October 17 and people will be informed on October 19.  If you are aware of anyone who is interested in attending Casebrook in 2023 please let them know there are still limited spaces available.

During the last week of this term we have our Performing Arts Showcase.  This replaces our production, a decision that was made due the lack of certainty earlier in the year. Tickets will go on sale shortly. So please be in quickly as it is only on for the one night.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
