Spechtechular at Casebrook

Spectechular is a celebration of the Specialist and Technology classes and teachers.

Spectechular was held on Wednesday 16th of November in the Te Kura Mareko school hall from 3.30pm to 8pm. On display were lots of outstanding art, food, science, digi and hard materials projects completed by our students. Spectechular is open to the Casebrook community and whanau of students so it was great to have them come and celebrate our students work.

The people involved were all the Spec and Tech teachers, Mr Cook, Mr Mutch, Mrs Rousse, Ms Zant, and Mrs Dick-McCann. Also student helpers assisted at each station and encouraged whanau to join in with art (painting some rocks), hard materials (cutting out names on different coloured vinyl with a special machine), foods (trying some ginger cookies and some vegetable noodles), digi (try some coding), and science (making some sherbet).

Lots of people came to see the displays and join in. On the same night was our Year 6 interviews so those coming to Casebrook next year got to participate while they were waiting for their interviews. This event encouraged future students to join as many opportunities as they can during their time at Casebrook.

Thank you to all of our staff who have given us these opportunities to create different things in their classrooms. Well done to all of the students involved.
