Garden to Table Programme - a new focus for the Foods Room.

This year we have become a member of the 'Garden to Table' programme.  This provides the students with the opportunity to work in our gardens and then cook using the produce they have grown.  It is adding another interesting dimension to learning in the Foods Room. There is always space for volunteers, if you are interested in assisting please contact the school.

This week the PTA held their AGM. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the out going members for their commitment to the committee, in many cases over a number of years.  They are Jane Reed, Andrea Andrews, Linda Wroth and Vicki Langley.  In 2016 the PTA raised a record amount of money due to their diverse range of fundraising activities, so we wish this years group the same sort of success.  Thank you to all involved.

On Monday we held a combined Teacher Only Day with Cotswold school.  This was a great opportunity for our staff to investigate ways of improving the teaching and learning that is happening in our schools.  Thank you very much for your support, we do not usually hold events in Term time but it was the only day the facilitator had available.

Music Lessons have started with a large number of students opting to learn to play an instrument.  We look forward to future performances.

Tomorrow is the first whole school inter-house competition. Students are asked to dress in their house colours and in the afternoon all will take part in a tug of war.   You are very welcome to come along and support your child's house.

If you have any questions or concerns please be sure to contact us. We have access to many support systems that may be of help.
