Lit Quiz 2023

On the 27th of March eight Casebrook students and two adults went to the Christchurch Turanga library for the annual Kids Literature Quiz.

The students travelled in cars with Casebrook staff, Ms Hengst and Mrs McClimont. Schools across Canterbury attended the event.

The Year 7 team came 24th out of 43 teams and believed they did pretty well considering the difficulty of the questions. The Year 8 team came 17th and communicated with one another easily and improved a lot since their placing of 25th last year.

Many of the Casebrook participants were mildly intimidated by the other schools and the big competing space.

“It was very intimidating, however extremely exciting.” Abigail Terry said.

The students participating had a wonderful time, They thought hard and will improve their skills for next year.

First place was given $250, second place $20 and third place $10.
