On the 4th of April, we set off to interview Mrs. Aldwell. The interview lasted 10 minutes, in which time we tried to gather as much information as possible.

In her early life, Mrs. Aldwell grew up in Wellington, but also has lived in other places such as the Kapiti coast, Australia and Hamilton. When growing up in these locations, she had a lot of siblings with her.

She went to a lot of different primary schools in the areas she grew up in Otaki was her secondary school, with Palmerston North being her teacher college, at which she trained to become a teacher.

Her job at Casebrook is the Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour cluster manager, where she manages 29 resource teachers and 60 schools. She helps the teachers when they need help or support with students and their learning and behaviour needs. Her favourite part of her job are the people and team interactions with schools.

Mrs Aldwell enjoys her job and likes that it is always challenging and different.

Mrs. Aldwell’s activities that she enjoys in her free time include walking, gardening, reading and biking.  She enjoys going biking or walking on the weekends with her husband and gardens at home.

She was inspired by her dad who sadly passed away a while ago.  Some of Mrs Aldwell’s goals from the past have been achieved. Some examples are having stopped smoking, moving back to Christchurch, and seeing the world with her husband. One ongoing goal she still has is surviving every day of the week!

In summary, Mrs. Aldwell has had a challenging, but also enjoyable life; moving a lot, being a family person and working with her colleagues.
