Congratulations to all students who achieved  a Gold Badge during Term One. Thank you to our parent community for supporting your child with this achievement, the programme is designed to involve the whole family.   Thank you also to those who attended the celebration assembly, I understand there was standing room only.

I was in Singapore with the Christchurch Intermediate School Principals. We had two days visiting local schools and then attended an International Education Conference. We have returned with a great appreciation of our systems, particularly our broad and inclusive school curriculum. This is something we really must protect. It was a valuable experience for all of us.

The parents and students on the trip to China and Korean  returned  last Thursday and report they had  an amazing time sight seeing, visiting schools and being involved in a range of cultural experiences.  There are photos and details later in the bulletin.  Thank you to Mrs Tracy Goulden for her organisation and leadership.

Next week our Year 7 students start two weeks of swimming lessons. This is an important part of our Physical Education programme and to ensure it is a successful experience for every student they must bring their swimming gear every day.  We appreciate  your support with this.

The term has had a very positive start and we look forward to students being involved in a range of activities.  If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
