Last Wednesday, Mrs Austin organised a pink ribbon lunch for staff members in order to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation. This was held at the staff room.

At the lunch they had a lot of different and delicious food made by staff members, including sandwiches, slices and seafood. Students from Room 1 interviewed Mrs Austin about the pink ribbon lunch.

Why did you decide to fundraise money for the breast cancer foundation?

“Because I thought it was a way of doing something for the community and it celebrated the fact that we all have the opportunity to fundraise”

How much money did you raise ?

“$225”

What did you do at the pink ribbon party ?

“We invited staff to be part of it so they could bring donations”

Did any other adults from outside Casebrook Intermediate come to the lunch ?

“No, they were all Casebrook staff”

Well done to Mrs Austin for organising a great event that raised money for the breast cancer foundation. We hope this money helps them in the future and saves more lives.
