Fantastic Community Support for our Students at REP Badge Assemblies

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Monday June 19, 2017

Thank you to those who have been able to join us as we celebrate your child achieving a REP badge.  The Casebrook school culture is based on students being REPs.  It teaches them the core values of Respect, Excellence and Perseverance, values that will serve them well in life and the great community support at the assemblies is reinforcing all that we do here at school.

This year we have a Girls Basketball team, a BMX rider and a Trampolinist representing us at the AIMS Games.  This is the first year we have sent students and to date there are 306 schools taking part in the games, making for a very exciting and memorable experience.

We also have two Water polo teams competing in Dunedin at the South Island competition.  All students are working hard to fundraise so please support them if you are able.

There are exciting developments going on in our school garden with a number of new garden beds and a new shed. Please go and have a look at the area when you are in the school. In August our students will take part in an inaugural cooking competition organised by Garden to Table. They have to use produce they have grown as the base for a two course meal. There should be some interesting creations.

In week two of next term, on August 2, we are holding our Open Night.  Please share this date with anyone who has a child currently in Year 6.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please contact us.
