CANTAMATH IN HARD MATERIALS

There's more than rapid fire questions to the heat of competition in this years Cantamath event.

This Wednesday evening the Casebrook Intermediate Cantamath teams will have been racing against 20 or more other teams at Horncastle Arena. It's a heated test of math knowledge and handling the pressure of moment to moment decisions.

But, at the same time, another competition was happening. Mathematical models were made and displayed in a quiet part of the Horncastle Arena.   Hundreds of projects have been carefully crafted over many weeks and are a part of an exhibition illustrating a truly diverse approach to mathematical concepts.

Casebrook Intermediate School had display pieces from class rooms, a specialist class with Mrs Dick-McCann and geometry based projects completed in the Hard Materials with Mr Cook - some of which can be seen below.
