Exciting Start to 2016 with Camps and Activity Days.

Year 8 classes travel to Wainui to camp under canvas for three nights. They take part in a range of outdoor challenges designed to team build and develop personal confidence.  Year 7 classes have three day outings to Surfing,  Adrenaline Forest and Treking in the Port Hills. I thank parents for your support and staff for ensuring these activities are such memorable experiences.

Thank you to parents who were able to join us at our Meet the Teacher evening on Tuesday.  I can not emphasis enough how your child's education will benefit from a close working relationship between home and school.

Next Friday we have our Community Hangi and games evening.  You are welcome to purchase Hangi tickets or bring your own dinner.  We meet on the front field from 5.00 -7.00 pm.  There will be casual touch games and Kapa Haka will perform.  More details can be found later in the newsletter.

Staff Professional Development in 2016 will continue to focus on Digital Learning, PB4L - with a classroom focus, and developing Best CollaborativeTeaching Practice - working with Cotswold School and CORE Education.  Our main objective is to always provide the quality learning experiences for our students.

Please do not hesitate to contact myself or your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards
