Thank you to those who were able to attend our meet the teacher evening last week. We value the opportunity of creating close home-school connections.

Rooms 1,9,10 and 12 will have their meet the teacher evening on Wednesday 28th February. This will be followed at 5.30pm by an explanation of our Casebook Challenge and BYOD system in the staffroom.  Please feel free to attend this presentation if you were unable to attend last week.

Year 8 classes have been travelling to Wainui to camp under canvas for three nights. They have been taking part in a range of outdoor challenges designed to team build and develop personal confidence. The first of our Year 7 class outings will begin tomorrow, these consist of a surfing, highropes and a trek day.

A special mention must be made to the Room 4 community for their support and flexibilty with the early return of their camp on Tuesday due to weather. They will return to Wainui next Wednesday to complete their camp.

Over the past couple of weeks we have had a group of students visiting from China and a group of teachers from Korea. This is a great experience for both the visiting groups and ourselves to learn about each others cultures and their education systems. We look forward to our next visiting group from Japan in March.

The refurbishment of the middle block is still on track to have classes occupying the space for the start of Term 2.  We are very excited about how these modified spaces are shaping up.

As always please do not hesitate to contact myself or your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
