Students Enjoy A Wide Range of Playground Activities

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Wednesday March 2, 2016

Last year the PTA purchased a concrete table tennis table that has proven to be a real hit with students during break times. The Youth Workers support a range of activities, wheels are set up twice a week and the chess set and playground are always popular. In wet weather the hall is set up for table tennis and shooting hoops.

Thank you very much to all who joined us for our Community Evening.  It was a pleasant night with the Hangi, Kapa Haka performance and games on the field.

The staff are currently collating  ideas around what the future of Education at Casebrook will look like.  This is called developing an Education Brief that will then be used to assist in the design of the refurbishment of our buildings.  We are not a school that will be rebuilt but do hope there will be considerable modifications to our Specialists classes and our classrooms will be modernised and upgraded.

During all discussions the learning needs of our students will be foremost in our minds.  We have in-depth knowledge and experience in dealing with this wonderful age group and will not lose sight of what currently works well.

The process is long and has many stages.  We will be seeking input from our community and our students as the process unfolds.

The term has started exceptionally well and I thank you for your on going support. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards
