On the weekend of the 15 and 16 May, I wend to Dunedin with the rest of my Tae Kwon Do group to take part in the South Island competitions.

I was entered in the fighting competition. This was a knockout where the person who got the highest points went on to fight the next competitor.

I tied my first game and then won the 'golden point'.  The next game I won and this earned me the gold medal for my age group.  I have a yellow belt and hope to be graded soon for my next belt.

Our Sensei, or leader, was very pleased with our group, as everyone who entered won medals.
