A Smelly Troll Plot (a short story by Oliver Floris Rm 9)
Morwenna Malkovich is just an ordinary fourteen-year-old girl living in Gurglebridge, until she sees a horrifying troll, called Maggot Baldbottom, climb in through her bedroom window.
Maggot, who is built like a potato filled with rocks and smells like grated dustbins smothered with sauce made from rotten turnips, sings a song about making little girls into chips.
Morwenna tricks the troll into falling out of her window by telling her that there are child-brain carbonaras outside. She realises that the troll has to be stopped before she eats any more children and sets to work trying to invent a trap.
Meanwhile, in a cave just outside Gurglebridge, Christian Donaldsnot starts to suspect that eating children is wrong, and grows tired of hunting with his fellow trolls. He decides to live as a vegetarian.
After a brief misunderstanding involving an eyelash and lashings of ketchup, Morwenna and Christian team up to stop the trolls, using a catapult that fires aubergines. They lure the trolls by creating a big mound of dustbins.
