Casebrook Challenge aims to make homework applicable and relevant to an individual student's learning and encourages the involvement of parents, whanau, teachers, and the community. These activities may include learning a musical instrument, visiting a Christchurch event, making sandwiches for the family at lunchtime in the weekend, cooking a meal or going swimming with the family. This part of the programme is optional and you can work towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold level badge each term. The badges look great! There are two compulsory challenges in the programme. The first is reading on at least 4 nights of the week. The second compulsory challenge involves a Basic Facts programme which helps to increase the speed and accuracy of basic facts knowledge.
