Room 1 'Pay It Forward'

As part of Room 1's Inquiry wrap-up for this term we baked goodies for the veterans of the Papanui RSA.  In groups, students worked together to bake Anzac, Chocolate Chippie and Afghan biscuits along with Lolly Cake, Russian Fudge and Cinnamon Pinwheels.  

On Thursday 2nd July a small group of students travelled to the Papanui RSA to deliver the goodies.  While they were there they met a WW2 veteran, had a tour of the venue and learned why the RSA is such an important place for the local community.

The staff and members of the Papanui RSA were very appreciative of the efforts of Room 1.
