Tēnā koutou kātoa

Thank you all very much for your support on Friday. It was a situation none of us ever imagined we would be in. Our deepest regrets and sympathy go out to the Muslim families in our community and across Christchurch. I particularly wish to thank our staff who provided the best care possible for our young people. A school is a safe place and their actions ensured this was so.

Thank you for the many emails and expressions of thanks, they have been much appreciated. We know how difficult it is when you can not get to your child, however we have good systems that worked with the resources and information we had.

On Friday, to recognise the horendous events we will be holding a Mufti Day. Students are asked to dress in bright colours , other than red. All funds will be donated to the city collection for victims and their families. We will also be observing a minutes silence.

As a follow on from Fridays events I encourage you to please have our school app on your phone. This was by far the fastest and most effective way of communicating. If you are unsure how to access this please visit the school office and we will download it for you. It is free.

I would also like to draw your attention to our Casebrook School website. This contains updated information as well as the daily notices, reading these in advance can help you work with your child to ensure they are prepared for upcoming events.

If you or anyone you know requires support please let us know as we have access to numerous resources.
