Congratulations Ella Barnes on your win! Ella was one of four students from Casebrook Intermediate who entered the Royal Society Te Apārangi 150 years of the Periodic Table T - shirt competition and she was selected as one of the three competition winners from across New Zealand.

2019 is the International year of the Periodic Table, marking 150 years since its creation. As part of their celebrations, the Royal Society Te Apārangi invites students to take part in a t-shirt design competition inspired by the periodic table. They were picking three winning designs from across New Zealand. Ella Barnes, Zoe Porteous, Lara Nevett and Aysia Winter - Perry all entered into the competition with some high quality designs.

Ella was chosen as one of the winners and this meant that she got her design printed onto T- shirts for her whole class to wear. She also won a pretty sweet prize pack and became a part of the larger social media campaign celebrating the 150th year of the Periodic Table creation with people from around Aotearoa New Zealand wearing her t-shirt.

Congratulations Ella and thank you to those other students for their entries.
