CASEBROOK FOOTBALL ROUNDUP

By Nick Leith | Posted: Wednesday July 1, 2015

Our three football teams are competing hard in the Intermediate Sport Competition at Hagley Park each Tuesday.

Our boys teams are coached by Mr Leith, Mr Pitt and our girls team by Miss Mordue. Catch up on last week's reports from our captains.

Casebrook A vs Heaton B

Right from the start we dominated the game. A few early chances went begging but when Jackson Bond broke the deadlock the flood gates opened and by half time we had a very convincing score line, 4-0.

We continued our dominance into the second half. We got two more goals but when our defenders got a bit too caught up in the attack Heaton put a ball through and their striker calmly finished a 1 on 1 with the keeper. Another four goals got put past the Heaton keeper. Even though Heaton were down they kept trying, and when a nice ball got put through another 1 on 1 got finished. To finish off the game, after a run down the goal line Ryan Hann cheekily chipped the keeper to end a thrashing over Heaton B 11-2.

Goals were scored by: Jake Kingsland 6, Haroon Zeb 3, Jackson Bond 1 and Ryan Hann 1

Player of the Day: Jake Kingsland

Casebrook B vs Breens B

The team had an excellent win this week and it was well deserved. We got off to a great start and from the whistle we were on the opposition the whole time.

Mulitple 1-2’s and turning with the ball combined with motivational talk between our players resulted in confidence and solid play.

In the second half we increased our efforts 100%. This led to our best game and highest score so far this season.

Goals were scored by:

Caleb Parsons  1, Liam Sawyer 1, Petrum Hassanian 2 and Luke Carville 3.

Player of the Day was Caleb Parsons.

A big thanks to our wonderful coach, Mr Pitt
