Ashton Fairly won the Sir Peter Blake award in Term 4 on the 15th of October 2020. He got the award for his leadership skills, his empathy and the caring ability for others, and his responsibility.

It was a normal assembly when one of the guests was giving away a Sir Peter Blake Award and they were describing the attributes. Ashton was the one that got called up to the stage and was given one of the biggest awards a kid could hope for.

Ashton said at his interview that he, “Felt glad, a bit nervous and proud of my achievement. I was not expecting the award as there were so many others who also deserved it but I felt as if I had a decent chance. I think I deserved the award because it showed me that I am a great leader and that I have done a lot for the school. But I’m not saying that many others didn’t deserve it.”

Ashton now lives a normal life at Casebrook, while always knowing he earned the Sir Peter Blake Award. He can feel very proud of his achievements.
